A herd of white cattle on a dark field at dusk, with trees and hills on the horizon.

Backing a village, a space, or a community.

What support looks like

Support arrives in three forms, and most partnerships use more than one. Capital, matched to a venture’s timeline rather than to a funding cycle. Capability, from people who have built the thing before. And convening, which is often the scarcest of the three: holding farmers, government, financiers and researchers at the same table long enough to agree on something.

None of it is a donation to a general fund. Support is directed at a named venture inside one cluster, where you can see what it paid for.

Where it goes

Support is directed at a venture owned by the community it serves. Farmers hold 51% or more of the shares in the cooperative behind each one, so decisions and profits stay in local hands rather than ours.

That structure is the point rather than a detail, and it is the first thing we will walk you through.

The ventures you back advance nine UN Sustainable Development Goals: No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Reduced Inequalities, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Climate Action, Life on Land, and Partnerships for the Goals.

What we will ask you

Which of the three forms you can offer, over what horizon, and what you need to see in return. We would rather understand that in a first conversation than after a proposal has been written.

Some partnerships begin with a site visit. Others begin with a question we cannot answer yet. Both are useful places to start.
